Newington, NH Police Department

The Newington Police Department is seeking to fill two full-time Police Officer positions with the department. The Town of Newington serves a population of 800 residents, along with an Industrial, commercial and military populace.  The workforce and customers coming to Newington on a daily basis can exceed 35,000. Newington is located between the City of Portsmouth to our south and the City of Dover to our north.  Shore side to Great and Little Bays and the Piscataqua River. The department is comprised of 10 FT Officers, 3 PT Officers, and an Administrative Assistant.

Candidates must be 21 years of age at appointment.  Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED but additional education or military experience is preferred.  Enthusiastic, empathetic and high moral character is a must to be considered an exceptional candidate.  Testing may include physical agility, oral board interviews, medical examination, psychological screening and a polygraph examination.  Pay with benefits is commensurate with law enforcement experience.
